Types of Energies That Can Generate Electricity

One of the greatest that man has ever discovered is the electricity. Imagine the absence of electricity and ask yourself what kind of world would we be living in? It is just scary and unimaginable. But how is electricity produced? Let us tackle that in this article and know how it is being generated.
Fossil fuel is one of the many forms or kinds of energy. It is the most commonly used energy on earth by electric companies and other industries as a source of electricity. The first power plants have used fossil fuel as its source of electricity, and so does the power plants today. Coal has been and still the main fuel that many are still using to heat water. The high density vapors that are produced from such heating are the elements that make the fan blades of turbines operate or run. But with this kind of energy system, the coal that was burned for making the turbines rotate is also causing massive pollution to our environment. That set aside, coal is a limited kind of energy. The inevitable depletion of this kind of energy will result panic and energy crisis all around the world.
Hydro power is one kind of method or energy system that many have been using also. These hydro energy-producing stations can be found near waterfalls and huge lakes. Dams are also noticeable near water energy power plants as it is where the flow of the water runs and then the water energy that is created by the flow is powers the turbines of water energy generators. This type of energy system is friendly to the environment because the power that is being generated is a natural source of energy and does not use or burn any coal unlike other power plants.
Since the early times, people have been using the energy of the wind. During the times when ships had sails, the wind’s energy was already used as an effort to make the ship sail. Windmills, like the mechanism of the early ships, use the wind to generate electricity. Gigantic windmills are usually installed and placed on open areas where the winds are unusually strong. Windmills or wind generators gather energy from the wind and does not contribute any pollution to our environment.
Nuclear energy is also another source that produces electricity. Nuclear fission generates a chain reaction causing neutrons to barrage an element called Uranium. Whenever a Uranium nucleus is separated, the more heat is produced by the chain reaction. And the heat that was produced is then used to generate steam and then powers the turbines to produce electricity.
Solar panel is also another energy system which makes use of the sun’s heat and then produces it to electricity.
In some countries, another means for generating electricity have been developed. This is called BIOwaste. Electricity is generated from organic materials, while some generates electricity from human wastes.

In California large measures have been taken to increase the production of electricity with the help of solar power. Four tremendous projects are taking place since August in California, this is one of the world’s biggest solar projects and the project is done using the mirrors to generate heat and around 675,000 houses can be enlightened with this project. California has an abundance solar energy and it is the largest producer of the renewable energy, and California promised to distribute around one- third of its electricity produced from the solar energy to other parts of the United States.
The California energy commission declared that around nine solar energy projects will be completed by the end of 2010 and these power plants can generate around 4,300 megawatts of power and many solar power projects are waiting for the approval from the Government. Kimberley Delfino, the director of the Defenders of Wildlife announced that they encourage the rapid growth taking place in the California, but the novel project on solar photovoltaic and wind project will demolish the farms, affect the wild life and even lead to degradation of the soil.

The Avenal will provide clean power to the houses and the industries situated in the region of California and Eurus Energy America and the NRG Solar are joining hands to produce tremendous amount of clean energy.
